Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Winter 2017
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 3/8/2017
Canada’s only remaining major league ball club, we have a great group of game-worn items from the beloved Toronto Blue Jays, including a jersey worn by Bob Bailor in 1995, a team jacket worn by Tony Fernandez in 2001, uniform pants worn by Jeff Burroughs in 1985 along with a second pair of uniform pants both worn and signed by Mookie Wilson in 1990. We also have a pair of catcher’s shin guards worn by an unknown Jays backstop. The Bailor jersey has Wilson tagging along the collar, with a “3 95 1” swatch. Styled with “Blue Jays” across the chest along with an emblem, “3” appears on verso in matching dual-layer tackle twill. Some sweat staining is visible along the collar, with some pilling at the right armpit. The Fernandez jacket is solid navy with Majestic labeling with handwritten “1”. “Blue Jays” appears across the chest, with a 25th season anniversary crest over the left sleeve. Next, the uniform pants worn by Wilson feature tagging from Wilson, with a “Wilson 3 90 1 27” swatch nearby. Good use is visible including team repairs, with Mookie signing the left pant leg in blue marker. The Burroughs’ pants also feature Wilson tagging along with a “44 85 24 1” swatch, with the “44” crossed out and “61” handwritten. With no obtrusive wear, the pants remain in excellent condition. Lastly, the shin guards are All-Star LG21W-Pro models in Jays' blue with MLB logos, with heavy use exhibited including dirt still present in numerous locations. COAs will accompany the Bailor jersey along with both pairs of offered pants.
