Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Winter 2017
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 3/8/2017
A College World Series champion with Stanford in 1987 and 1988, Ed Sprague would go on to play 11 seasons in the majors, including 8 with Toronto where he was crowned a World Series victor in both 1992 and 1993. We have a Blue Jays jersey worn by the California native in 1991, his first season with the club. Faded Wilson size tagging is affixed to the collar with a date/set swatch of “33 91 2”, along with a “DX” tag. Styled with “Toronto” arching across the chest in dual-colour tackle twill with a partially embroidered Blue Jay crest over the left breast, the grey button-up has been accented with “33” on verso in matching material, with the 1991 All-Star Game crest over the left sleeve.
There is just some light spotting around the collar to note, with no other issues present.
