One of the American League's eight charter franchises in 1901, the Cleveland Indians can include 6 AL pennants throughout their existence, along with World Series victories in both 1920 and 1948. Well loved and highly collected throughout their history, we have 6 game-worn jerseys from the club spanning from 1979-2003, with examples donned by Mike Hargrove in 1979, Mark Langston in the mid-1990s, Jeromy Burnitz in 1996, Geronimo Berroa in 1998, Ron Villone, also in 1998 and Billy Traber in 2003. LOAs will accompany the Burnitz, Langston and Hargrove jerseys, with an additional COA for the Traber jersey.
The breakdown for each of the offered game-worn items is as follows: 1) Mike Hargrove’s 1979 Cleveland Indians game-worn home jersey. A Rawlings label sits on the inner hem, along with a date/set tag of “Set 1 1979”. “Indians” arches across the chest, with the verso number and name all in matching tackle twill. Nice use is exhibited, with wear to the accents along with a few stains to the inner tail. 2) Mark Langston’s 1990s Cleveland Indians game-worn road jersey. Russell size labeling sits on the lower front, with an embroidered crest over the right sleeve and alternate patch over the left. Styled with “Cleveland” in script across the chest in triple-twill, the button-up has also been accented with double-twill verso number and name-on-nameplate. With no unsightly wear, the jersey remains in beautiful condition. 3) Jeromy Burnitz’ 1996 Cleveland Indians game-worn alternate jersey. Russell size labeling and a date swatch of “1996” sit on the lower front, with an AL 1995 champions patch over the right sleeve. Styled with “Indians” in script across the chest in triple-twill, the button-up has also been accented with double-twill verso number and name-on-nameplate. Nice use is shown, with some loose threading on the nameplate and lower front. 4) Geronimo Berroa’s 1998 Cleveland Indians game-worn alternate jersey. Russell size labeling and a date swatch of “1998” sit on the lower front, with an “AL Champs” patch over the right sleeve. Styled with “Indians” in script across the chest in triple-twill, the button-up has also been accented with double-twill verso number and name-on-nameplate. With no issues to mention and light wear, the jersey remains flawless, perfect for display. 5) Ron Villone’s 1998 Cleveland Indians game-worn home jersey. Russell size labeling and a date swatch of “1998” sit on the lower front, with an “AL Champs” patch over the right sleeve. There is also a 2” “Extra Length” tag present. Styled with “Indians” in script across the chest in triple-twill, the button-up has also been accented with double-twill verso number and name-on-nameplate. Exhibiting nice wear, there is some very light staining along the lower right front. 6) Billy Traber’s 2003 Cleveland Indians game-worn and signed home jersey. Russell size labeling and a date swatch of “2003” sit on the lower front, along with a 2” “Extra Length” tag. Styled with an embroidered Chief Wahoo crest over the left breast, there is also “14 Doby” and “18” patches over the right. Traber has signed within the “0” on verso, and the signature displays well.
