Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Winter 2017

There’s no denying that Bill Lee pitched to the beat of his own drum. Lee’s 1980 Montreal Expos game-worn jersey displays Spaceman’s familiar No. 37, which he also wore with Boston. Rawlings size 46 tagging sewn inside the right front tail has a “Set 2 1980” flag tag. Recycled for use by an Expos farm team, this white home gamer from Bill’s second season in Montreal has evidence of a former “Expos” nameplate, which was removed to display its original “Lee” sewn-on blue twill surname letters. There is substantial wear to the stitching of the No. 37 on the back with most of the lower portion of the “7” sewn back on. A cool memento of one of the more colorful characters in baseball history.
