Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Winter 2017
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 3/8/2017
Awesome early Expos gamer is Don Hahn’s 1970 white home jersey, which is all original with its Rawlings size 42 tagging in the collar and no alterations. A fine defensive player, Hahn was the starting center fielder in Montreal’s first game on April 8, 1969, an 11-10 win over the Mets at Shea Stadium. In 1970, Hahn hit .255 in 82 games in his second and final season with the Expos. The “Set 1 #8P 1970” flag tag is on the right end of the laundry instruction tagging sewn on the left front tail, just above the “70 Set 1” embroidered in blue thread. Some very light reddish-brown stains on the back, mostly under the arms.
The ends of the Rawlings tagging in the neck are frayed but it remains essentially whole. Beside it, there is some bluish staining on the back of the collar that does not show through on the outside at first glance and is only apparent with a closer look, and just barely at that along the thread line.
