Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Winter 2017
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 3/8/2017
The 8th overall pick and chosen by the Tampa Bay Lightning in the 1994 NHL Entry Draft, centerman Jason Wiemer would spend 4 seasons in Florida before moving on to the Calgary Flames in 1997-98. This Lightning jersey was worn by the Kimberely native in 1995-96, and it’s been signed. CCM tagging is affixed to the collar, with embroidered NHL and CCM crests over the back bottom hem. Styled with a textured and partially embroidered Lightning team crest, the black V-neck also features oversized and styled tackle twill sleeve and verso numbers, with “Weimer” across the nameplate in matching oversized letters. Jason has signed within the top of the “2” on verso, adding “28”. Game-wear consists of a number of dark marks over the lower front, along with some fabric pulls. There is also a hole over the right sleeve resulting from a burn, along with a few spots of paint transfer near the right sleeve’s number. We should also note that a pair of Tampa Bay socks worn by an unknown player are also included, and they show nice use with marks present. An LOA from the Lightning organization will accompany.
