Nicknamed “Chief”, forward Scott Daniels played in parts of six NHL seasons, with New Jersey, Philadelphia and Hartford. This Whalers jersey was worn by the Saskatchewan native in 1994-95, a season that witnessed Daniels see action in only 12 games, and it’s accompanied by game-worn Whalers pants from the 1980s along with two pairs of uniform socks. A CCM label with handwritten “17” and a size “52” fly tag remain affixed to the collar, with embroidered NHL and CCM crests over the back bottom hem. Styled with an attractive Whalers team crest in tackle twill that first saw use in 1992, the navy V-neck has been embellished with large tri-colour sleeve and verso numbers. Game-wear consists of marks on the lower front striping bands along with over the sleeve, with a few faint board burns also visible. A small stain is present on the team crest, with some light sweat staining around the collar. The team patch has been screened-onto the inside hem, and it denotes this garment as a 1994-95 “1st Set” example. The Whalers pants are in Hartford green, with blue and white striping accents. A Tackla patch sits on the lower front left pant leg, with heavy use exhibited including tears to the fabric along the interior as well as a repair on the reverse. The socks are solid white with blue and green striping bands, with both pairs showing nice use with marks and team repairs present.
