Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Winter 2017
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 3/8/2017
A feat that remains unmatched in North American sport, the New York Islanders won an incredible 19 consecutive playoff series, beginning with their summit to the Stanley Cup in 1980, and finishing when they were defeated by the Edmonton Oilers 4 games to 1 in the 1984 finals. We have an impressive instant collection of game-used sticks totaling 30, all employed by New York Islanders. Each stick has the user’s name either stamped-on or in factory graphics, with the majority retaining their original tape jobs on the blades and shafts. Thirteen of the sticks are also signed, with highlights including John Vanbiesbrouck, Roman Hamrlik, Chris Osgood, Miraslav Satan, Garth Snow, Michael Peca and others. LOAs from Steiner will accompany 7 of the sticks.
