Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Winter 2017
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 3/8/2017
A mainstay in the AHL, ECHL, and IHL, centerman Trevor Sim won a Memorial Cup with the Swift Current Broncos in 1989 after being drafted 53rd overall by Edmonton in 1988. This Oilers jersey was worn by the Calgary native in 1989-90, his only season with the club, where he saw action in only 3 games. Maska Air-Knit tagging with handwritten “89-90/1” remains along the collar, with embroidered CCM and NHL crests on the back bottom hem. Styled with the familiar oil-drop team crest in tri-layer tackle twill, the solid white V-neck has been embellished with matching tri-colour tackle twill sleeve and verso numbers. A few random marks are present along with a small hole beneath the left shoulder. There is also a patch of fabric that was added over the right shoulder and evidence of a former nameplate, along with 3 team repairs. Two repairs are visible near the nameplate, with a third example over the left sleeve near the elbow. An LOA from the Oilers will accompany, along with a COR from MeiGray.
