With the bulk of his career spent in both the AHL and IHL, defenceman Gord Kruppke would only see 23 games of NHL action, split over 3 seasons with Detroit. This Red Wings jersey was worn by the Slave Lake native in 1993-94, his final season in Michigan where he only dressed for 9 games. We also have a pair of game-worn Red Wings pants from the 1990s worn by an unidentified individual, along with two pairs of uniform socks, with one set from the 1970s, the other, modern. Maska and EastSide labeling remains affixed to the collar along with a size “56” fly tag, with embroidered NHL and CCM crests on the back bottom hem. Styled with tackle twill numbers and letters, the jersey features an attractive and classic winged-wheel team crest with the verso letters placed directly onto the sweater. The team patch has been screened-onto the inside hem, and it divulges this garment as a “1993-94 Game Sweater”. A few random marks are present, along with board burns with a small resulting hole over the right shoulder. There is also a small slit just above the left cuff. The Pants are CCM Supra models in Detroit red, with embroidered NHL crests along each side. A Red Wings logo is also present over the left leg, with a rubber “Professional” crest along the outer waistband. The lacing and strapping appears intact, with considerable use exhibited, with marks present along with some tearing to the material on the lower right pant leg. The 1970s socks are solid red with white striping bands, with a hole present on one sock along with a team repair, while the modern pair are solid white with red striping bands, with great use exhibited with a number of dark marks present.
