Selected in both the 1974 NHL and WHA drafts, Dave Langevin spent time in each league, with the bulk of his career spent with the New York Islanders where he was a four-time Stanley Cup champion during the club’s early-1980s dynasty. This Islanders jersey was worn by the Minnesota native circa 1982-83, and it’s been signed. Faded Sandow tagging remains along the collar, with a second “Sandow SK” crest embroidered onto the back bottom hem. Styled with the iconic Long Island team crest in tri-colour tackle twill, the white mesh V-neck has also been accented with dual-colour sleeve and verso numbers, with “Langevin” across the nameplate in matching material. An LOA will accompany.
Some wear to the team crest is present from repeated washings, along with board burns over each sleeve. There is also some blue paint transfer over the back of the right sleeve along with some light staining near the team crest, with 16 team repairs present. There are 5 on the front, 4 over the left shoulder and 6 on the left sleeve, with a single example on the right sleeve. Langevin has signed within the “6” on verso, with the signature blending into the dark background somewhat.
