Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Winter 2017

Having to leave the game he loved due to concussion-related injuries in 2011, Dave Scatchard dressed for a number of clubs during his time in the NHL, including the Islanders, Bruins, Canucks, Coyotes, Predators and Blues. This Islanders jersey was worn by the Alberta native in 2002-03, and it’s been signed. Size tagging is affixed to the collar, with embroidered NHL and CCM crests on the bottom hem and back necklines respectively. Styled with the iconic Long Island team crest partially embroidered in tri-colour tackle twill, the white V-neck has been accented with tri-colour sleeve and verso numbers, with an alternate crest over the right shoulder and team crest along the inside hem. Scatchard has signed within the “8” on reverse in white paint pen, with the signature displaying well. Great use is exhibited, with a number of dark marks present, along with heavy board burns, with a large resulting hole over the right elbow. There is also some discolouration/staining to the nameplate. A patch from MeiGray numbered A02524 has been affixed to the inside hem, and according to the accompanying LOA, this jersey is a “White 1st Regular Season” example.
