Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Winter 2017
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 3/8/2017
Currently playing for SaiPa of the Finnish Liiga, Petteri Nokelainen has previously won gold with Finland at the 2011 World Championships in Slovakia. This New York Islanders jersey was worn by the Imatra native in an Oct 8 2005 contest against Carolina, and it’s been signed. Reebok size tagging is affixed to the collar, with embroidered NHL and Reebok crests on the bottom hem and back necklines respectively. Styled with the iconic Long Island team crest partially embroidered in tri-colour tackle twill, the orange tie-neck has been accented with dual-colour sleeve and verso numbers, with the “Cares” Katrina Relief Fund patch over the right breast. Nokelainen has signed between the numbers on verso in black marker, and the signature displays perfectly. Game-wear is light on the garment, with just a few small marks present on the lower front section. A patch from MeiGray numbered C06766 sits on the inside hem, with a matching LOA to accompany.
