Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Winter 2017
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 3/8/2017
Currently the head coach of the Utica Comets in the AHL, Travis Green was a first-round draft pick of the New York Islanders in 1989, dressing for the club for 6 seasons from 1992-1998. This Islanders jersey was worn by the Castlegar native in 1997-98. CCM “Goalie Style” tagging is affixed to the collar with a size “56” fly tag, along with embroidered CCM and NHL crests on the back bottom hem. Styled with the iconic Long Island team crest in tri-colour tackle twill, the white V-neck has been accented with textured sleeve and verso numbers, with “Green” across the nameplate in single textured twill. Alternate crests also grace each shoulder. Islanders’ equipment manager Joe McMahon signed the reverse of the team crest, adding “97-98”, along with “#31”. Nice game-wear is exhibited with a few random marks present, along with 2 fairly large team repairs on the lower front. An LOA will accompany.
