Marilyn Monroe as seen by legendary pin-up artist Alberto Vargas is wondrously interpreted with her glamorous “jungle red” fingernail polish on full display. This magnificently framed circa 1979 limited edition lithograph with the late artist’s original signature displays to about 24” x 18” as mounted in a triple-matte of white with black and red inner borders. Vargas, who died in 1982, has signed in pencil, and the handwritten limited edition number “I 40/500” (with the “I” representing “international estate”) is also in pencil. Comes with a COA from PSA/DNA with “Certification Number: C69209” that also appears on the PSA/DNA sticker affixed to the upper rear of the frame.
There is some crazing and various black marks/lines to the gold-colored paint of the frame, which also has a black-colored mark on the top edge.
