Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Winter 2017
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 3/8/2017
One of the most important events of the 20th century, the Apollo 11 mission to land humans on the surface of the moon was successful, with Mission commander Neil Armstrong first making “One small leap” on July 21st 1969, when he became the first human in history to set foot on the moon. We have a gorgeous signed Armstrong display for your collecting consideration. At roughly 24” x 36”, the modern print features an image of Buzz Aldrin that was shot by Armstrong, with the mission’s famous tag lines placed above and below. A 2” x 4 ½” cut from Armstrong has been matted beneath, and it appears somewhat light, most likely from a weak marker. Framed to total dimensions of 32” x 46”, an LOA from JSA will accompany.
The poster appears problem-free, with some spotting noticeable along the matte beneath the glass. There is also some light wear to the frame itself in spots.
