Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Winter 2017
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 3/8/2017
The longest serving non-North American born captain in NHL history, Mats Sundin would partake in 18 seasons of NHL action throughout his career, with the bulk of his time spent in Toronto. Presented, we have a pair of gloves worn by Sundin while with the Leafs, and they’ve been signed. CCM models in solid blue with all identifiers screened-on, “Sundin” appears along an extended flap over the wrist guard on each glove, with the manufacturer's labels removed. Sundin has signed both in thin silver marker, with the signature over the back of the thumb protector on the left glove, while the signature on the right glove has been placed just above, with some light smudging to the autograph on the right glove. Great use is shown on the pair, with heavy wear to each palm along with some darkening to the left glove. There is also some rubbing to the leather in spots, especially around edges. A copy of the original LOA with facsimile Ken Dryden signature will accompany.
