Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Winter 2017

This Bauer helmet was worn by Pittsburgh Penguins superstar Evgeni Malkin while he helped Russia claim silver at the 2010 world championships. The 2009 Art Ross and Conn Smythe winner joined his countrymen in Germany in the wake of the Penguins' stunning second-round playoff elimination, contributing five goals and two assists in five games as Russia lost the final to the Czech Republic. Malkin's helmet has its visor and chinstrap intact and the number "11" he wore for Russia, with a single “1” now missing. A Gazprom sponsor's vinyl logo with adhesive foam backing remains on the front and Russian Federation flag decals on both sides. This is the correct model worn by Malkin during the 2010 world championships and it comes with an LOA.
