Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Winter 2017
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 3/8/2017
Vintage uniform collectors will be all over this offering. We have a complete flannel baseball uniform including the jersey, pants and stirrups, along with a vintage wool hockey sweater in Canadiens colours with the matching socks. The grey baseball jersey features a worn away label along the collar, with “Washington Pike” across the chest in navy felt, with “Puritan Food Markets” on verso. The matching pants are void of any labeling, while the stirrups differ slightly in style, with one in solid navy while the second stirrup features white striping. The wool hockey jersey has been fashioned in Canadiens colours and was made for a youth, with no labeling remaining. “17” is on verso, with one number canvas, the other felt. The matching socks are also wool, with heavy use exhibited including repairs. The jersey also shows heavy repairs, especially on the right sleeve. The baseball jersey and pants both show thorough use, with the top remaining in pleasing condition with no obtrusive damage, while the pants exhibit heavy staining around the waistband and along the reverse near the right leg pocket. There are also a few holes within this stained area.
