Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Winter 2017
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 3/8/2017
Desirable rookie card here of Roger Maris, the man who for decades held the single season home run record, is a rather attractive technically low grade example and perfect for collectors not requiring or looking for a high grade encapsulated specimen. Two very small, light peripheral creases, (right border, bottom border), are difficult to detect at first look, with corner/edge wear giving the appearance of a VG+ card. What appears to be an ink mark on the reverse, along with a scuff mark, are what send this Roger to the lower grades. Decent centering and a nice scratch-free surface are what you'll see when you happily add it to your 1958/Maris/rookie card collection.
