Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Winter 2017
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 3/8/2017
Delectable bright vivid colors strike the beholder of this treasure, originally discovered over a century ago in a pack of cigarettes and during Hall of Famer Marty Walsh's last professional season with the Ottawa Senators. Displaying as an EX-or-better crease-free example is the front, with however the back's glue and paper loss sending card #11 to the lower grades. Walsh had starred for Queen's University before turning pro and is said to have been one of the best hockey players Kingston, Ontario ever produced. A high-scoring center, he helped Ottawa to three Stanley Cup titles, notably scoring ten goals in a Cup challenge game in the spring of 1911.
