Cards from two popular Parkhurst issues are offered up here and will be relatively inexpensive alternatives to high grade examples. A majority of Poor and Fair cards are among (42) from 1955-56, with #8-Morrison making it to EX and 40-Curry to VG, with (8) Good cards, including #s 5, 14, 16, 25-Drillon, 48, 49-Johnson, 52-McNeil and 65. Notables among the lesser lights and at G are 45-Harvey and two of 63-Durnan. Major flaws of the Poor cards may include one or more of the following: back damage from having been glued, tape marks at the corners, heavy creasing. Meanwhile, over two dozen from '57-58 also are not destined for professional graders, with however (15) of them in the respectable G to G+ range, (a few make it to VG), including Canadiens 7, 8, 13 and 20, along with Maple Leafs 6, 7, 8-Gerry James RC (VG), 11, 12, 13, 15, 16, 21-Cullen RC, 24 and 25-Reay. Staining, (gum or tape or glue), or heavy creases are the grade-lowering flaws among the rest, with the most noteworthy being 16-Blake, 17-Hodge RC and 20-Baun RC.
