The trade that sent Jose Theodore packing from Montreal found him in the uniform of the Colorado Avalanche midway through the 2005-06 season. Theodore would spend parts of three seasons in Colorado before moving on to Washington. This Avalanche jersey was worn by the retired netminder in the 2007-08 regular season and playoffs, and it’s been photo-matched. “Goalie Style” and size 58 tagging remains affixed to the collar, with NHL and Reebok crests on the front and back necklines respectively. Styled with an attractive partially embroidered team crest, the solid white V-neck has been embellished with textured tackle twill numbers. The “White Set 4” jersey also features matching Bigfoot patches over each shoulder. Game-wear includes a number of puck marks across the lower front including the team crest, with additional examples over the sleeves. There are also a few burns along with a large 3” team repair on the right sleeve just above the cuff. Regarding the previously mentioned photo-matches, Getty Image #80822351 from April 22nd 2008 has been matched to the big black mark on the left side of the team crest, while Getty Image #80871062 from Oct 26th 2008 has been matched to a pair of black marks on the team crest. A MeiGray patch numbered E08660 has been affixed to the inside hem, with a matching LOA to accompany.
