Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Winter 2017
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 3/8/2017
From the historic 100th season of the Montreal Canadiens, we have a jersey that was worn by Andrei Kostitsyn in 2008-09, and it’s been photo-matched. CCM size tagging sits along the collar with handwritten “2”, with NHL and Reebok crests on the front and back neckline respectively. Featuring the sacred and partially embroidered CH team crest, the “Away Set 2” jersey has been accented with attractive tri-layer tackle twill numbers, with the Canadiens centennial patch over the right shoulder. There is also a “Match des Etoiles” All-Star Game patch on the left shoulder. The team patch numbered AO1610 has been placed on the inside hem, and a hologram from the Canadiens organization has been affixed to the back number “6”. Game-wear consists of a few marks on the upper and lower front, along with additional examples over each sleeve. There is also a large burn along the seam just below the right shoulder, along with traces of red goal-post paint transfer across the left elbow. Regarding the previously mentioned photo-matches, Getty Images #84226042 and #84173032 from Jan 2nd 2009 have been matched to the red marks on the "6" of "46" on the left sleeve. An LOA from the Canadiens organization will accompany.
