Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Winter 2017

A memorable contest that ended in an exciting shootout, the Feb 15th 2014 Olympic matchup between the Americans and Russians was arguably the best game of the tournament. This Team USA alternate captain’s jersey was worn by defenceman Ryan Suter in the second and third periods as well as the overtime and shootout of the February 15th contest against Russia. A Nike logo sits screened-on the inside collar above an IIHF label, with an additional Nike swoosh heat-pressed onto the right breast. Featuring a USA shield-crest, the navy garment has been accented with double-twill numbers, with the back letters heat-pressed directly onto the nameplate. Dark stars also adorn the upper chest area, with the two previous Olympic victories (1960 & 1980) heat-pressed onto the inside collar, while the important Sochi 2014 crest resides over the back bottom hem.
With just a few random marks present, the jersey remains in gorgeous condition. An inverted Nike inventory bar code numbered 82903 sits on the inside hem next to a MeiGray patch numbered USA09117, with a matching LOA to accompany.
