Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Winter 2017
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 3/8/2017
The story of Fred "Cyclone" Taylor is told in this fascinating 1977 book by Eric Whitehead. One of hockey's early superstars, Taylor was often the object of bidding wars to secure his services. He displayed his brilliance with teams in Houghton, Ottawa, Renfrew and Vancouver and his scoring feats are legendary. The Cyclone has signed the title page in black marker with his familiar “Fred W (Cyclone) Taylor” along with “Dec 77”, with the author signing below in blue. The book includes an intact dust jacket that features an image of Taylor from his days in Ottawa, with the tome’s interior clean and problem-free.
We should note some toning to the dust jacket, along with a few edge tears present on the front and back covers.
