Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Winter 2017
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 3/8/2017
The second man to walk on the surface of the moon, astronaut Edwin “Buzz” Aldrin was ranked the 9th most popular space hero by a Space Foundation survey in 2010. This breathtaking photo of Aldrin standing on the moon near the planted American flag has been signed by the icon. At 16” x 20”, the desolate surface is pictured, with Aldrin and the American flag isolated, along with the lunar module visible at the far left. Buzz has signed just above his image in silver paint pen, and the signature displays extremely well against the dark background. The photo itself exhibits vertical surface lines along the left hand side, as well as a dinged corner on the bottom left. A sticker from JSA numbered Z05330 has been affixed to the bottom right, with a matching LOA to accompany.
