Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Winter 2017
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 3/8/2017
A mainstay with the Montreal Wanderers throughout the early-teens, Harry Hyland would play seven seasons in the NHA, where he once scored an amazing eight goals in a single match against the Quebec Bulldogs. We have a signed index card from the 1910 Stanley Cup champion and honorable HOF member. At 3” x 5”, the slightly toned card features “Harry Hyland” above in script, with “Hockey Hall of Fame Member”, along with the year of his induction - 1962. Hyland has signed over a designated spot in ballpoint, with the signature displaying flawlessly. The verso includes “Died Aug 8 1969” handwritten, with the date of “Dec 29 ‘67” typed along the bottom right, presumably the date the card was signed. A HHOF card and a modern print of the legend will accompany, along with an LOA from Classic Auctions.
