Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Winter 2017

A product of the University of Michigan, goaltender Robbie Moore held the school’s record for most saves in a season until broken in 2001. Moore would also see NHL action in a total of 11 games, including 10 spent with the Philadelphia Flyers in 1978-79 (5 regular season, and 5 playoff games). This Flyers jersey hails from the Sarnia native’s time with the club, and it’s been photo-matched. Tagging from both Bill Vanderburg and WA Goodman & Sons sits along the collar, with a fully embroidered Flyers team crest. Accented with dual-colour tackle twill sleeve and verso numbers, “Moore” appears across the nameplate in single twill, with evidence present of a former plate. The attractive mesh jersey also sports an intact garter-style fight strap. An LOA will accompany this desirable sweater.
Game-wear consists of a number of puck marks on the front and over each sleeve, along with a few burns. There is also a small unrepaired hole on the right sleeve beneath the elbow. Regarding the previously mentioned photo-match, Getty Image 53130368 has been matched to the particularities of the 3 on the left sleeve, and to the light black mark within its top section.
