Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Winter 2017
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 3/8/2017
Always physical with great hands around the net, Ken Hodge is one of the very few players historically, along with Joe Hall and Charlie Gardiner, to be born in the UK. Presented we have a Standard Players Contract for the winger, and it’s been signed by HOFers Clarence Campbell and Tommy Ivan. The standard size NHL contract at 8 ½” x 17” (unfolded), it calls for Hodge to receive $10,000.00 a season for two seasons, 1965-66 and 1966-67, with a bonus of $500.00 for 20 goals scored. Campbell has signed above “President”, and the signature displays well, with just some very minor fading. The Ivan signature, along with the Hodge example - are flawless, with both fashioned in ballpoint. The contract itself has only been folded over once, as opposed to the “Pamphlet style” they are usually administered in, and it remains in gorgeous high grade, with very little wear present.
