Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Winter 2017
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 3/8/2017
Featuring the current Stanley Cup champion Pittsburgh Penguins, we have a pair of jerseys that were worn in the 2009-10 rookie camp in Kitchener by Keven Veilleux and Lane Caffaro. A perfectly matched pair, size tagging from CCM sits affixed to the collar (size 56-Caffaro and size 58-Veilleux), with embroidered NHL and Reebok crests gracing the front and back necklines respectively. Featuring large and partially embroidered Penguins team crests, the V-neck sweaters have been accented with textured tackle twill sleeve and verso numbers, with matching-style letters over the nameplates. The team patches are located on the inside hem, and they divulge the jersey’s status as “2009 Rookie Camp Set” examples. Equipment manager Dana Heinze has also signed each fight strap. Game-wear on the pair is light but noticeable, with a few random marks on each jersey, along with some very minor blue paint transfer over the elbow section of the Veilleux example. An LOA from the Penguins organization will accompany each jersey.
