Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Winter 2017

The first 18 year old ever selected to an NHL All-Star roster, Steve Yzerman competed in 9 All-Star showcases, with an NHL First Team All-Star nod for supremacy at the center position throughout the 2000 campaign. This Campbell Conference jersey was worn by the HOFer at the 1992 event, and it’s been signed. Maska and size 52 tagging sits on the collar, with the NHL 75th Anniversary patch over the right breast. Styled with a large NHL shield crest, the “1947 throwback” style jersey also sports affixed tackle twill stars that arch over the chest, along with “18” on verso in matching material. As expected with an All-Star jersey, game-wear is minimal, with some light sweat staining around the collar along with some faint staining to the team crest.
Yzerman has added his attractive John Hancock to the reverse side of the team crest in black marker, also adding his number, and the signature is flawless. We should note that this jersey was originally purchased at the Kirkland Oldtimers Hockey Fundraising Tournament. It was donated to the tournament through Phil Shore, who was playing in the league and working for the NHL head office when it was located in Montreal.
