Currently in his eighth season with the Nashville Predators, netminder Pekka Rinne has also represented his native Finland in international play, which included being named most valuable player at the 2014 World Championships. We have an especially attractive mask that was donned by the Kempele native in 2009-10, and it’s been photo-matched. A Bauer model with all padding and strapping intact including attached neck guard, a “predator” dominates the top and sides, with “Peks” across the chin section in attractive script. The back headpiece contains a Finnish flag and “Vari” airbrushed, along with a set of dates, while “Claw Rage” appears along the back top section with “@daveart.com”. The artist David Gunnarsson has also signed along the front right side, with the date of “2009”.
With particularly vibrant paint, the mask suffers from just a few minor issues, with some chipping to the finish along the chin area, with larger examples over the top section. There are also some additional scratches, marks and abrasions present, with some light crazing and surface rust to the screws that affix the mask. Regarding the previously mentioned photo-match, 4 included numeric images have been matched to numerous chips along the top portion. A Warwick bag for the mask with attractive graphics is also included, and it remains in beautiful condition, with just some light dirt staining.
