Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Winter 2017
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 3/8/2017
A nice selection of vintage hockey gear is available in this lot for your consideration, including a pair of hockey sticks, pants, knee pads, skates and gloves. The sticks are roughly 40” give or take, with no makers marks present. Nice use is shown, with a handwritten notation including a name and address on the middle shaft of one example. The gloves were produced by Crescent Sporting Goods of NY, with “432 Special” stamped onto each. A high-quality pair in their era, the gloves remain in beautiful condition, with just a single small separation along each thumb seam. Next, the skates feature Spalding “Blue Streak” blades from the 1920s, and they’ve been affixed to boots with no maker present. Some of the blue finish remains on each, with vintage leather skate guards included.
Also in this vintage equipment lot we have a pair of early knee pads. Constructed of thick blue felt, each features black leather that covers the lower portion, with wooden reeds affixed beneath. With no maker present, the pads remain in very good condition. Lastly, we have a pair of vintage pants. Solid blue with white accent stripes, a Stall & Dean label remains affixed to the interior, with nice use exhibited including a small hole along the reverse lower right leg. All items in this lot show moderate to heavy use, with no unsightly damage or issues that would prohibit display.
