Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Winter 2017
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 3/8/2017
Featuring the famous Montreal Canadiens, we have a great collection of 4 sticks including a signed game-used example from Saku Koivu, along with a signed game-issued stick from superstar Patrick Roy. We also have a vintage stick that was issued to Claude Provost, along with a stick signed by fan favourite Vincent Damphousse. 1) Patrick Roy signed game-issued stick. A KOHO Revolution model in solid white with accents in Habs colours, “P Roy” appears on the upper shaft, with a date stamp of “20 Dec 1993” on the underside. Roy has signed across the blade in black marker, and the signature is huge and bold! The stick itself has wear present from storage, with spotting to both sides of the blade and paddle, with some light wear to the sticks graphics. 2) Claude Provost game-issued stick. Hailing from the mid-1960s, “Provost” appears stamped onto the upper shaft along with “14”, with “Ray” handwritten along two sides of the shaft. A Stamp is also present from supplier McNiece’s along the top side of the shaft, with the CCM Custom Pro Pattern Made stick surviving in very good condition, with some slight separation along the underside of the blade. 3) Circa 1998-99 Saku Koivu signed game-used stick. A KOHO Revolution model with a fully covered fiberglass shaft, the stick retains its tape on the blade, along with the ribbed gauze-style tape on the handle/knob. Koivu has signed across the heel section of the blade in black marker, with a tiny bit of loss to the signature from a weak marker. The stick itself shows great use, with heavy wear to the taped section of blade and to the lower shaft. 4) Vincent Damphousse signed stick. A KOHO Revolution 2200 model, Damphousse has signed across the blade in thick black marker, and the signature is gorgeous, while the stick itself remains in excellent condition with no issues. This Canadiens stick collection is ready to augment any serious Habs assemblage.
