Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Winter 2017

Perhaps the greatest hitter baseball has ever seen, Ted Williams remains the last ballplayer to bat .400, accomplishing the feat while recording six hits in eight trips to the plate in the last day of the season, a double-header against the Athletics on Sept 28th 1941. We have a ball signed by the legendary HOFer. A Rawlings Official American League ball, flawless stampings are featured, with the ball originating from Bobby Brown’s tenure as league president (1984-94). The Splendid Splinter has graced the sweet spot with a wonderful ballpoint signature, and it remains bold and vibrant. With just light toning along with a slightly discoloured panel above the signature, the ball remains in beautiful condition. A sticker from JSA numbered B78620 has been affixed to the ball, with a matching LOA to accompany.
