Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Winter 2017

Drafted behind fellow HOFer Guy Lafleur in 1971, Marcel Dionne currently sits 6th on the list for all-time points with 1,771, more than enough to solidify his status as one of the NHL’s all-time greats. Dionne would see action in 18 seasons, dressing for Los Angeles, Detroit and the Rangers, but he’s best remembered as California royalty. Originating from Marcel Dionne's personal collection which Classic Auctions sold in 2004, we have an LA Kings alternate captain’s jersey worn by the Drummondville native in 1986-87, his last season with the club. Currently void of tagging along the collar, an embroidered CCM crest in matching Kings colours sits along the back bottom hem. Featuring a gorgeous and partially embroidered twill crown team crest, the solid yellow V-neck has also been accented with dual-colour tackle twill sleeve and verso numbers, with the back name placed onto the nameplate in single-twill. The important Kings 20th season anniversary patch resides over the left shoulder.
Game-wear consists of a few marks on the lower front, along with faint board burns over each sleeve. There are also a few fabric pulls and light pilling, with two team repairs present, with an example over each elbow.
