The first overall pick in the 1997 NHL Entry Draft, Joe Thornton has logged ice time through 18 NHL seasons split between Boston and San Jose. Thornton was also a gold Medal winner with Team Canada at the 2016 World Cup. This Bruins captain’s third jersey was worn by the St. Thomas native in 2002-03. Size tagging appears in the collar, with embroidered NHL and KOHO crests on the bottom hem and back neckline respectively. Featuring the Bruins alternate logo team crest that saw use from the mid-1990s to mid-2000s, the V-neck sweater has also been accented with dual-colour tackle twill sleeve and verso numbers, along with matching “Bruins” patches over each shoulder. A MeiGray patch numbered A07558 sits on the inside hem, and according to their population report, the garment is a “Third Set 2” example.
Game-wear on the attractive Thornton gamer includes a few large stick marks on the lower front, along with additional marks and board burns with small resulting holes over each sleeve. We should also note that the collar has been vented.
