One for the ages was the highly-publicized and anticipated Canadiens’ Centennial Game, played December 4th, 2009, with the storied franchise celebrating its 100th anniversary in grand style. This puck was used in the Canadiens Centennial Game, and we have an accompanying program and ticket. Featuring “Match du Centenaire” on the face, the puck exhibits just a few light blemishes to the surface, with a hologram affixed numbered GU04515. The just-over 4” x 8” ticket remains in very good condition with light wear, while the 132 page 9 ½” x 12” program has just light corner wear, and is perfect for display with the puck and ticket. A COA from the Canadiens will accompany for the game-used puck.
The presentation of dozens of past greats before the game against the longtime rival Bruins made for ceremonies which Habs’ faithful will not soon forget. Once play got underway, Montreal players were of course pumped, with Michael Cammalleri pumping-in three second period goals which led to a 5-1 triumph. Referee Stephane Auger worked the game with Bill McCreary.
