We have a desirable group of Toronto Maple Leafs items totaling 32, with a number of examples that aren’t often seen. Highlights include a rare promotional advertising photo of the 1931-32 Leafs produced by Ever-Ready Cleaners and Dyers, an Imperial Series notebook (no interior) with King Clancy cover, along with what appears to be an Imperial Series proof featuring Red Horner, a set of 20 team-issued 1963-64 Leafs 8” x 10” photos, a booklet celebrating the 25th anniversary of MLG, Let’s Talk Hockey Leafs LP, with intact premium, the 1948-49 Pictorial Hockey Album with Ted Kennedy on the cover, the 1946-47 Quaker Oats Leafs premium membership book and more!
Also included in this neat lot of Leafs items we have a mounted (12” x 14”) photo of the 1954-55 Memorial Cup champion Toronto Marlboros with Turk Broda, Bob Pulford, Bobby Baun and others, a 5” x 8” photo of the 1966-67 Stanley Cup champion Maple Leafs, an MLG envelope from 1967, a Ron Ellis with Skating Tips 33 record mounted to cardboard, 8” x 10” photos of Leafs netminders Frank McCool and Baz Bastien and more.
The 1931-32 Leafs Ever-Ready photo is approx. 11” x 14” and on thin stock, with some staining and toning along with some minor creasing and surface wear. There are also a few pinholes present, with the photo currently framed without glass. The 7” x 9 ½” Imperial Series Clancy displays well, with a horizontal crease, while the Horner “proof” is oversized at roughly 8 ½” x 11”, with some minor wear including some paper loss on the left hand side border. The Hockey Talks LP exhibits wear, with the sleeve in very good condition, perfect for display, while the 1948-49 Hockey Album and 1946-47 Quaker Oats booklet both exhibit expected handling wear with toning and creasing, with holes punched into the QO booklet for insertion into a binder. There is also some light staining that has taken place. Next, the 1963-64 Leafs photos all remain in pleasing condition, with the odd dinged corner or crease, and included are HOFers Keon, Kelly, Duff, Stanley, Armstrong, Mahovlich, Pulford, Horton, Bower and others. Lastly, the 25th anniversary MLG booklet remains in beautiful condition with just spine and cover wear, while the 1954-55 Marlboros photo shows some slight surface loss, with wear to the matte including pinholes, toning and a few spots of light staining.
