Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Winter 2017
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 3/8/2017
Fresh off his fourth consecutive Stanley Cup championship season in 1978-79, Guy Lafleur would complete his sixth consecutive season with 100+ points in 1979-80, and we offer a stick used by the legendary Canadiens star that very season. A Sher-Wood PMP 5030 model, the not-often-seen “Flower” and “10” appear on the upper shaft, with a date stamp on the underside of “28 Nov 1979”. The “Feather-Lite” stick retains Guy’s original black tape on the blade, with white on the handle and knob. Just light use is exhibited on the stick, with wear on the handle and to the taped section of blade. The first strand of stick tape near the heel section is also coming loose. From both a 50-goal season along with 125 points, this Lafleur stick is worthy of inclusion in any high-end Flower, Habs or Hall of Fame stick collection.
