Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Winter 2017
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 3/8/2017
Awarded to the New York team with the best record in the AHL from 1988-1992, we have the New York State Lottery Cup. Standing a majestic 17” in height, a silver handled bowl has been placed atop a tiered and finished 11 ¾” x 10” wooden base. A plaque affixed to the top tier features “New York State Lottery Cup” engraved, with additional plaques placed below for each club along with the winning season listed. We have “Adirondack 1988-89” for the Red Wings, “Rochester 1989-90” for the Americans, “Binghamton 1990-91” for the Rangers, and a second Adirondack victory for “1991-92”. A pair of plaques are also present on the right hand side that remain unused.
With just some minor scratches to the bowl along with wear to the interior, the trophy remains in beautiful condition. We should also note some additional wear to the wooden base including a nick along the lower front section, with some scratches also present on the engraved plaques.
