Daniel Alfredsson spent 17 seasons in Ottawa, more than enough to qualify for legendary status with the club. He is also currently the Senators all-time goals and points leader. We have a number of important items from the longtime captain, including his 1000th game gloves, along with a puck used to score an assist in that milestone game. We also have his gloves worn in the 2010 Olympics, and a second puck, this one used to score a goal in an exhibition game against the Frolunda Indians in Sweden, on Oct 2nd 2008. The 1000th game puck originates from an April 6th 2010 contest against the Florida Panthers at the BankAtlantic Center in Sunrise Florida.
The breakdown for each of these desirable Daniel Alfredsson items is as follows. 1) 1000th game puck. As mentioned, the puck originates from an April 6th match against Florida. The Senators went up 1-0 on Fisher's power-play goal with 2:16 left in the first period. Fisher scored on a shot from in front, with Jason Spezza and Alfredsson getting the assists. The puck features a Panthers logo on the obverse, with NHL logo on the reverse, along with stick tape added around the edge with the text “1000th 1st Asst #11”. The puck exhibits nice use, and remains in very good condition. 2) 1000th game gloves. Bauer Pro models in solid black with red and white accents, “Alfredsson” appears embroidered, along with “1000th Game”. With no discernible use showing, we should note that these gloves are being offered as game-issued, as photos from that night show him wearing a pair with noticeable marks. 3) 2008-09 goal puck. From an exhibition game that took place in Sweden prior to the 2008-09 NHL season, a Panthers logo sits on the obverse, with NHL logo on the reverse, along with stick tape added around the edge with the text “Alfies Goal vs Frolunda Oct. 2/08”. Nice use is exhibited, and the puck remains in very good condition. 4) 2010 Olympics game-worn gloves. Bauer Pro models in Sweden’s familiar blue with yellow accents, “Alfredsson” appears embroidered, along with all identifiers. Just very light use is visible, with some minuscule wear to each palm. Each glove has been signed by Alfredsson, with thin black marker signatures placed along each wrist guard, and they blend into the dark background somewhat.
