Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Winter 2017

Photo-matched Senators gamer signed by Erik Karlsson is most likely one of the first the two-time Norris Trophy winner ever wore in action for Ottawa! Erik placed a bold black marker autograph across the top of the red twill of the “6” in his red and black double twill No. 65 sewn on the back. Karlsson, who was the No. 15 pick in the first round by the host Senators at the 2008 NHL Draft at Scotiabank Place, wore this beauty during the 2009 NHL rookie tournament, which was held from Sept. 7-10 in Kitchener, Ontario. Matched to three Getty Images photos, this Karlsson rookie tourney gamer with a size 58 flag tag and evidence of a shorter nameplate is matched to three Getty Images photos.
Photo matches include Getty Images #90602196 dated Sept. 9, 2009 shows the loose white thread on the right edge of the team patch on the left shoulder. The two black marks on the upper right of the Senators crest on the front show in Getty Images #90791621 taken Sept. 10, the same day as Getty Images #90791684, which displays the long loose white thread on the upper right of the Senators crest.
More game wear shows in a few light black marks and boards burns on the sleeves and rear tail.
