Hailing from the small hamlet of Syosset in Nassau County, Eric Nystrom comes from impressive pedigree, with father Bob a four-time Stanley Cup champion with the NY Islanders. We have a Calgary Flames photo-matched jersey worn by the forward in his rookie season of 2007-08, along with a pair of game-worn gloves from 2008-09. The “White Set #2” jersey has CCM tagging along the collar, along with an NHL crest on the front neckline. Styled with slanted tri-colour tackle twill numbers, both Canadian and Albertan flags reside over the shoulders. The gloves are Bauer models in solid black with embroidered identifiers, with “NY 23” embroidered onto each cuff, along with “21” handwritten on the palm of each, with “23” crossed out. The jersey exhibits nice use, with a few random dark marks on the front and over each sleeve, along with a few faint board burns. There is also a large team repair on the right side of the upper chest seam. Getty Image #78657795 from Dec 16th 2007 has been matched to the black mark on the breast. A MeiGray patch numbered E04683 sits on the inside hem, with a matching LOA to accompany. The glove show nice use, with good wear to each palm, with both remaining intact and free of holes. We should also add that the “21” was later added to the gloves for Eric’s friend and teammate Chris Higgins.
