Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Winter 2017
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 3/8/2017
All considered rookie cards, this trio from the O-Pee-Chee company's first hockey card effort is highlighted by those picturing Hall of Famers Ace Bailey and Tiny Thompson. Attractive lower grade examples they are, with a few not-too-unsightly creases and a not-at-first-easily-detected dab of paper loss on the front of the Bailey card, (in the white of the large background star, by his left hip), the most notable flaws, while paper loss on the back of the Thompson card, a pin hole near the top tip of the same aforementioned large star and bends at the corners lower it. Cecil Dillon's rookie card meanwhile, is the condition leader at VG, with a couple of light "back" creases and, like with the other two cards, bends in the corner region evidence of these once having been stored in an OPC album of the day. All-in-all, not bad at all.
