A terrific gathering of 16 signed hockey books are available in this lot for your consideration, with a number of examples signed by prominent HOFers. We have single-signed volumes from Taylor, Howe, Dryden (2), Orr, Geoffrion, Dutton, Imlach, Sinden and Foster Hewitt, along with the NHL’s 75th anniversary commemorative book signed by Worsley, Canada’s 50 Unforgettable Moments in Hockey signed by Hull and Cournoyer, Hockey Play by Play signed by Jim Robson and the author, Danby – Images of Sport signed by artist Ken Danby, and From Rattlesnake Hunt to Hockey (1934) signed by the author WM Perkins Bull. Lastly, we have a multi-signed copy of Hewitt’s Hockey Night in Canada signed by 15 including Lafleur, Coulter, Lumley, Hull, Geoffrion and others.
The complete list of single-signed books available in this lot include Hockey Showdown - signed by Harry Sinden, Hockey… Here’s Howe - signed by Mr. Hockey, Boom Boom - signed by Bernard Geoffrion, Orr - signed by Bobby Orr, The Game - signed by Ken Dryden (2 copies), Hockey - signed by Red Dutton, Cyclone Taylor - signed by Fred Taylor, Heaven and Hell in the NHL - signed by Punch Imlach and Down the Ice - signed by Foster Hewitt. The condition varies from book to book as one would imagine, with the copies of Hockey (1938) and Down the Ice (1934) showing heavier wear to the covers. The majority of the signatures are exemplary examples, with the Red Dutton signature an especially large and pleasing fountain pen example. Along with those previously mentioned, the multi-signed copy of Hockey Night in Canada has also been signed by Pierre Pilote, Red Kelly, Tommy Ivan, Brad Park, Phil Esposito, Allan Stanley, Harry Howell, John Bucyk and Tony Esposito.
