Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Winter 2017

The only defenceman along with Bobby Orr and Denis Potvin to win the James Norris as the league’s top defenceman before hitting his 23rd birthday, Erik Karlsson continues to impress, leading the lead in assists with 66 during the 2015-16 NHL season. We have a signed stick used by Karlsson in the 2012 All-Star Game, along with a pair of signed and photo-matched gloves, also worn in the 2012 NHL All-Star Game. The stick is an Easton RS model with “65 Karlsson” factory graphics, along with a serial code added by Easton to the underside. The gloves are Bauer Vapor models in solid white, with “Karlsson” embroidered onto each cuff. Each has been signed on the backside, and the signatures present well.
The stick is solid black with yellow accents, with light use exhibited, including some abrasions to the lower shaft. Retaining its tape on the handle/knob, the tape has been removed from the blade so that Erik could add a gorgeous silver paint pen signature. The gloves are in solid white and feature embroidered identifiers, with just light use exhibited, and they remain in gorgeous condition. Regarding the previously mentioned photo-matches, Getty Image #138148107 from Jan 29th 2012 (All-Star game) has been matched to the long loose thread on the index finger of the right glove, while Getty Image #138060727, also from Jan 29th 2012 (All-Star game), has been matched to the long loose thread on the index finger of the right glove, and to the four spots of red threads on the interior cuff.
