Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Winter 2017
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 3/8/2017
First on the NHL’s radar while leading the Drummondville Voltigeurs to the Memorial Cup semi-finals in 2009, Mike Hoffman was drafted 130th overall in 2009 by Ottawa, and he’s currently in his fourth season with the club. This Senators’ jersey was won by the Kitchener native in 2014-15, and it’s been signed and photo-matched. Size tagging is affixed to the collar, with embroidered NHL and Reebok crests on the front and back necklines respectively. Featuring the attractive Senators team crest that first saw use in 2007, the V-neck garment has been accented with double-twill sleeve and verso numbers, with matching alternate crests over each shoulder. The team patch resides along the fight strap, with a hologram numbered 2448172 affixed for assured authenticity.
Game-wear on the solid red garment consists of a large stick mark beneath the team crest, along with a few random marks over each sleeve. A team repair is also present just above the “H” on the nameplate. Hoffman has added a gorgeous black marker signature to the top of the “8” on verso, and it displays extremely well. Regarding the previously mentioned photo-matches, Getty Image #464368088 from Feb 21st 2015 has been matched to the two loose black threads at the left middle side of the team's crest, and to a number of small loose threads on the "6" of "68" on the left sleeve, while Getty Image #465775956 from March 8th 2015 has been matched to the loose threads on the team crest including the small black one on the top tip, and to the two long white threads on the upper right edge area.
