Chris Neil’s Senators NHL Heritage Classic game-worn jersey with a size 58 flag tag is photo-matched to their “outdoor” game played at B.C. Place Stadium on March 2, 2014. The Heritage Classic patch is sewn on the right breast of Neil’s No. 25 gamer, which is photo-matched to Getty Images photo #476214493 to specifics of the "A" sewn on the left breast. The fight strap was custom-shortened for Neil by the Sens’ equipment staff and there is no lace in the neck, which is how he wore it during Ottawa’s 4-2 win against Vancouver. A 2014 Heritage Classic team patch and MeiGray patch are sewn inside the rear tail. There is no obvious wear on this single-use gamer that saw limited duty.
The team patch sewn inside the right rear tail reads, “2014 Heritage Classic Game Worn Jersey, Worn during the second period, March 2, 2014, Ottawa Senators vs. Vancouver Canucks” and displays the Senators equipment manager’s facsimile autograph along with Registration No. K09538.
Registry No. K09538 also appears on the MeiGray NHL Game-Worn Jersey 2013-2014 Season patch. According to the MeiGray population report it is a "Cream w/A - Heritage Classic 3/2/14 - Player Set - Worn Period 3 - 3/2/14 At BC Place" so the information differs from the Senators team patch, but the jersey is photo-matched to the game by Getty Images photo #47614493 of the March 2, 2014 game.
The specifics of the photo match to the alternate captain’s “A” in particular show the rounded lower right interior of the black felt "A" and the threads on its lower right corner.
